Seeing Is Believing
You can only imagine the views from the rooftop of Glacier until you see them with your own eyes, but unless you know where to go you may get yourself in a dangerous position.
Our team has been climbing in Glacier for many years. We knew where to go for many mountains, but many of the routes described in the J. Gordon Edward’s classic guidebook, A Climber’s Guide to Glacier National Park, were written before the 1960’s.
Since then many things have changed in Glacier. Trails have been re-routed, trees have grown, glaciers have shrunk, and rocks have moved. A few years ago we started sharing photos with red lines of the routes drawn on them and then we recognized a need for a more up-to-date climbing guidebook series. The project took 9 years to complete and now the “Passmore Guide” is considered the go-to guide for climbing in Glacier National Park.
Climb Glacier National Park is an illustrated guidebook for off-trail travel and summiting mountains in Glacier National Park. The guidebook series of 5 volumes features routes for beginning and intermediate climbers to nearly 100 summits.
